ConnectAssure Technology (CAT) Data Export software helps promote compliance throughout the facility by interfacing compatible STERIS products with many of the leading instrument tracking systems.
The ConnectAssure software collects information from STERIS equipment and exports the non-sensitive data to your hospital’s instrument tracking system. The software captures, formats, and exports sterile processing data in real-time and automates the transfer of both cycle tape and biological indicator results. ConnectAssure Technology helps support the value of instrument tracking systems for record keeping, infection control monitoring, and workflow management.
In an endoscopy setting, CAT interfaces with Automated Endoscope Reprocessors (AERs) and endoscope storage cabinets, allowing for the transfer of cycle results and storage time information to tracking systems while providing convenient administration of users and endoscope inventory.
How ConnectAssure Technology Works
The ConnectAssure Technology Data Export software runs as a background service on a hospital provided virtual server. The system uses the hospital’s network for communication from STERIS equipment to ConnectAssure and then makes the information available to the hospital's tracking system through an API. No Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) protected health information (PHI) is captured, stored, or transmitted.
ConnectAssure keeps data safe through industry standard cybersecurity measures such as JSON web token (JWT), certificate-based authentication, and encryption for data. ConnectAssure can also be configured to run in a separate Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) if desired.
